The Nokia 8110 was, and is still, the only mobile phone of any manufacturer that has the
innovative, elegantly designed sliding curved cover. It fits comfortably against the face
and has the microphone built into it so it can be angled perfectly over a user’s mouth
no matter the shape of the face. This was the catalyst to Nokia’s new advertising
campaign which features “Human Technology”. In other words, Nokia has observed
things about people (such as there are no sharp edges on the human body, that’s why
they didn’t put any on their new phones) and has designed technology around them. To show potential consumers this great new attribute, we created a QuickTime-VR (virtual reality) demonstration of the phone. The user could not only rotate the phone in three-dimensions, but also see how the phone cover slides open and closed. Get a true understanding of why it is a benefit.
