The Nokia 9000 Communicator shockwave demonstration proved successful enough for us
to convince Nokia to let us do a full CD-ROM version. For this one I wrote what amounts to a user tutorial of all
the phones features. The presentation begins with lifestyle shots of people all over the world using the phone - nice mood music in the background natch - and then shows the Communicator sitting on a desk as a normal mobile phone. The keys press in as it dials a number. A ringing sound is heard and then the phone swivels down, opens up and becomes the personal organizer/internet tool which makes it so unique and useful. The Nokia Asia Pacific Web site is shown and scrolls down where the Communicator link is selected. From there the user is within clickable features of the presentation. There are three areas: Features, Brochure and Contacts. The features section is the tutorial which takes the user all the way through all of the abilities of the Communicator. They can either follow along my advice in a linear fashion or explore the phone on their own. If they enter in a contact page they can use whichever name theyve put in (using the Communicators keypad) all through the demonstration - as a recipient to send an email, fax, sms, to call, etc. The brochure section demonstrates the areas of the phone in an obvious marketing method - highlighting the best features, capabilities, uses, dimensions, etc. Contacts shows the various Nokia Web sites and their addresses around the world.
