Whereas the Nokia 8110 was innovative in its use of
human observation and elegant design, the Nokia 9000 was the first (by about a year lead time)
All-in-One mobile phone and personal organizer with full Internet (World Wide Web,
telnet, email, etc.) access. It works just like a regular, full-featured mobile phone but you can open it up along a seam to reveal a large lcd screen and keyboard. You can see the features in the Director Shockwave demo we did, but the first thing we created to showcase the surprising marvel of the Communicator, as it is known, was this QuickTime-VR movie. The Nokia potential consumer could rotate the phone in three-dimensions and open and close the personal organizer screen/keyboard area. Almost as good as being at a dealer.
